FLY AWAY

FLY AWAY

-A Poem By Tanvee Maheshwari

Why do these chains bind me?
Limit my birth?
Break them;
Fly away
What do these people expect of me?
Why downgrade my worth?
Let me spread those wings;
And fly away
Can't you see I'm only human?
Can't you see I just want some mirth?
I'll prove them wrong;
And fly away

The Magical Brew

The Magical Brew

- A Poem By Tanvee Maheshwari

A silver, frothy potion,
bubbling to the top
if you want the solution,
you shall require just a drop

In go the rat tails,
the blood of a whale,
the skin of a tiger,
the shell of a snail

Splish,splosh, chink, chomp
stirs the wizard on the broom
when the ingredients are added,
he adds 2 red mushrooms

Hop around the cauldron twice,
remember not to run,
add just another mushroom,
and the potion will be done

The cauldron abandoned,
its contents now blue
lies in a dark cave,
bet you didn't have a clue

If you want answers,
this one's for you,
just drink a teeny tiny drop
of this magical brew!

All Types Of Chairs

   All Types Of Chairs

-A poem by Tanvee Maheshwari

All types of chairs,
High and low,
For adults and children,
Lined up in a row
  Some are blue,
Some are red.
Some are as long as bed
                                                                                                                             One for my study table,
                                                                                                             Two for spare
                                                                                                              Some for high,
And some for a low fare
                                                                          Big and small
                                                                          Round and square
                                                                          Four, Five, Six –
                                                                          All types of chairs!

Mother Earth

Mother Earth

- A poem by Tanvee Maheshwari

The world gets ready for doom
Any doubt about this has no room

With tempest and storm
And tsunamis that warn

When Earth says enough is enough
And Nature decides to play rough

There shall be gloom and pain
And all this, in vain

So, please heed the words that I say
Have fun and respect Mother Earth every day

A Precious Vote

A Precious Vote

You,the children,
Don't have a vote,
But of your needs,
We must take a note

You are our future,
and will make our country great,
We must start with you,
we must educate!

Children need to play,
This, we must facilitate
So cast your precious vote right,
Do it NOW, why the wait??

A Friend Indeed

A Friend Indeed

A Poem by Tanvee Maheshwari

You are my Friend,
Who loves to defend,
Me from my problems,
So warm hugs I wish to extend!

Our journey is long,
Sometimes we are right,
Sometimes we are wrong

We shall stick together,
No matter whatever,
May it be any weather,
Always and Forever.

You are so beautiful,
You are so cute,
And if there is one person,
For whom you always root.

You know I am talking to you,
Dear Friend,
On this special occasion,
I wish to salute you.

For you are my Friend,
Who loves to defend,
Me from my problems,
So warm hugs I wish to extend!

The Ride of Life

The Ride of Life

A Poem By Tanvee Maheshwari

I went for a walk,
Deep in the woods,
Where I stood
On a heavy rock.

The wind blew,
The Leaves of the pine trees rustled,
I saw a raging river,
It was really a nice view.

The Sun was setting,
The sky was dark,
I felt something magical
Right in my heart!

I was in a forest,
Covered by trees,
On whom sat owls
With foxes that howled.

On a dusty path,
A stone's throw
Below a rocky ledge
Was a river very shallow.

The horizon seemed to stretch,
Far and wide,
Where the world ended
There began a New Ride!

AND THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS THE "RIDE OF LIFE" !!!
